WinRAR Description

WinRAR is a 32-bit Windows version of RAR Archiver, the powerful archiver and archive manager. RAR files can usually compress content 8 to 15 percent more than ZIP or ARJ files. WinRAR's main features include strong general and multimedia compression, the ability to process of non-RAR archive formats, long filename support, programmable self-extracting archives (SFX), damaged-archive repair, authenticity verification, embedded file comments, and encryption. Unicode is supported in archive file names, allowing non-English file names to be handled painlessly.

Version 3.62 is compatible with Windows 10.0 and is recommended.

A Python script to submit web pages to the Wayback Machine for archiving.

Wayback Machine Archiver (Archiver for short) is a commandline utilitywriten in Python to backup Github Pages using the InternetArchive.

Installation

The best way to install Archiver is with pip:

This will give you access to the script simply by calling:

You can also clone this repository:

If you clone the repository, Archiver can be installed as a localapplication using the setup.py script:

Which, like using pip, will give you access to the script by callingarchiver.

Archiver requires the ``requests`library <https://github.com/kennethreitz/requests>`__ by Kenneth Reitz.Archiver supports Python 2.7, and Python 3.4+.

Usage

The simplest way to schedule a backup is by specifying the URL of a webpage, like so:

This will submit the main page of my blog,alexgude.com, to the Wayback Machine forarchiving.

You can also archive all the URLs specified in a`sitemap.xml <https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sitemaps>`__ as follows:

This will backup every page listed in the sitemap of my website,alexgude.com.

You can also pass a sitemap.xml file (requires the file:// prefix)to the archiver:

You can backup multiple pages by specifying multiple URLs or sitemaps:
